This extraordinary brooch is at once, impressively modern and yet medieval and mystical. While it is signed and numbered, the signature is indecipherable. It was found at the former home of a San Francisco bohemian. Constructed in a masterful manner, it features a thin, translucent piece of orange agate while above it, what appears to be kind of sea shell. This is almost more a piece of art to display than to wear.
